IF YOU HEAR A RUSTLE IN THE HEDGEROW…

In the modern age of the internet, social media and smartphones some naysayers will suggest that ‘young people’ are losing touch with nature and, conversely, that organisations like Girlguiding are losing touch with young people. Neither could be further from the truth and I was excited and proud to be asked to develop a special website to support the new nature based resource for Girlguiding South West called Rustle, Bustle & Squeak.

Working alongside Pete White of A Motley Crew and Aidan Phippard of Pink Matter I put together colourful, fun website that not only promotes the printed resource, badges and other goodies but also provides a fun, bright window on nature for the girls themselves. The new site makes good use of simple sound effects and animations and gives this fantastic resource, a collaboration between Girlguiding South West and The RSPB, a strong presence on the web.
