We are excited to announce that we will be relaunching our website www.gabrieldesign.co.uk this Friday, 31st May with a clean and fresh new look, new interactive portfolio and new functionality.
The new site has also been developed to take account of the new mobile technologies and is suitable for tablets and smartphones.

Also, we will be launching our new branding and logo design on Friday as well giving the company a new look and feel. We hope that it will be a great success and look forward to your feedback.

FORE! THE BEST IN DESIGN

Many groups and organisations do not have the funding for the ongoing, professional maintenance of their websites and make great use of CMS website facilities.  Long standing Gabriel Design clients, Southampton Golf Club have been making use of a hosting package, e-mail accounts and a CMS facility for many years to great effect.  Earlier this year the decision was taken that the website should be redeveloped in order to create a members only area allowing for club members to log in to see more information than is available for the casual visitor.  The website also required freshening up so the golf club committee approached my to redevelop their site, making use of their existing CMS facility and content.  

The brief was to create an engaging new look for the site, sort the content, update the navigation and build in the new secure members area.  There were also additional features added to the members’ area, which are not available to the general public, which have been well received.  The new website was launched at the start of May and handed back to the golf club committee so that they can continue to update their own website regularly and affordably.  The new look website can be viewed here.

PETE'S PATTER - ANNIVERSARY THOUGHTS 2

As this year, 2013, is going to see the 15th Anniversary of my business, Gabriel Design, I can’t help but reflect on my 27 years working in the industry. In my previous e-newsletter I shared a few key moments of 15 years trading as Gabriel Design, this time I would like to cover a few successes from my time before striking out on my own.
I was trained by and worked at a small, but successful Hampshire based advertising and design agency called MW Publicity. Who, incidentally, was my first customer at Gabriel Design. During my time there I grew from junior paste up artist to a key member of the team. Among the many projects I am proud to have worked on are the planning, booking, organising, designing and fulfilling press advertising campaigns for holiday companies in both the New Forest and Weymouth. I was also part of a small team which co-ordinated the building of five separate stands at the Earl’s Court International Food Exhibition. With exhibitions in mind I was also the sole company representative overseeing the building of a prestigious stand at the Paris Air Show. My concepts, designs and creations were chosen to grace the cover of a leading industry magazine while working for clients in the field of cable manufacture.

ANNUAL LEAVE

After the excitement and complexity of visiting the Olympics last year my annual leave this year is more simple and straightforward affair. I am planning on having a week off in May, based in UK.

Please note that I will be closing the office at 4.00pm on Friday 10th May and then reopening at 8.00am on Monday 20th May.

Your consideration and support in this break would be appreciated. If you think that you will require my services during the week 13th – 17th May please can you send it to me as soon as possible beforehand in order that I can get it completed for you before I close on the 10th.
